Program Manager, Business Planning and Operations - SBG

We are seeking a technically sophisticated and detail oriented Program Manager who will serve as a member of Facebook's Business Planning & Operations team. This position will have a day-to-day focus on providing analytical, strategic, and operational support for Facebook's Small Business Group (SBG) organization with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven and strategic operating decisions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook's mission, have a background in a technical or quantitative field, have experience problem-solving using large data sets, and can communicate strategic recommendations effectively with leadership. This position is located in our Menlo Park office.


  • Identify and use signals to identify opportunities for new insights and trends that may impact business decisions, short and long-term growth, resource allocation and workforce strategy, investment in product support and optimization of tools and systems
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers
  • Effectively plan and collaborate with team members on data-driven projects to improve internal tools, systems, and data pipelines
  • Establish & refine rhythm of business analyses and weekly reporting cadence for Small Business Group leadership
  • Help establish short and long-term goals that will advance the organization’s productivity through analytics
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for SBG Sales and Business Planning & Operations leadership
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Business or analytical field
  • 8+ years of work experience in Analytics, Sales Operations and/or Strategy consulting, or 6+ years’ work experience with MBA/Master’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL (create, maintain, and improve data sets, pipelines and reporting)
  • 2+ years of statistical experience (creating attribution models, A/B tests or lift analysis)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from sets of data
  • Experience utilizing both qualitative analysis (e.g. content analysis, hypothesis testing) and quantitative analysis techniques (e.g. cluster analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics)
  • Experience presenting technical content to audiences
  • Excel and Tableau experience
  • MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience with online advertising
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
