Program Lead, Business Operations

This is an opportunity within the Infrastructure Services and Operational Support (ISOS) team. The ISOS team consists of program managers who enable the design, implementation and continuous evolution of Facebook's data centers, networks, and experimental connectivity initiatives. This role will include guiding a team of program managers who oversee various foundational functions such as knowledge management, analytics, process and workflow definition, dashboarding, root cause analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. This position will be located in Menlo Park, CA with national and international travel required.


  • Thought leadership and coaching for a team of 10+ to help ensure a strong, productive, and cohesive team
  • Work with the team and various cross-functional groups to enable other stakeholders to succeed
  • Generate resource allocation and team optimization plans and strategies for effective service delivery
  • Manage expectations of interested parties: define clear roadmaps with key deliverables and milestone dates, provide frequent program updates, and identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program
  • Identify areas of risk and drive mitigation with subject matter experts within the organization
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in a lead or hands-on managerial role
  • 10+ years of work experience in program management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in the network space
  • Experience aligning business requirements into network architectural requirements and translating needs into implementation plans with internal and external customers
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational experience
  • Experience collaborating with different individuals across the organization, within other geographies, and "roll-up sleeves" in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
  • Global network deployment experience
  • Experience with network design and capacity planning
  • Experience in an at-scale production environment
  • Experience identifying operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices to innovate on business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience developing and managing end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
