Product Manager, Mobile Financial Services - Core Product

This person will join the Marketplace Payments Product Management team. Marketplace is a convenient destination on Facebook to discover, buy and sell goods and services with people and businesses. Marketplace is a fast-growing, rapidly evolving product whose mission is connecting people through commerce across our family of apps. Today, hundreds of millions of people come to Facebook to buy and sell goods within Marketplace, Buy and Sell Groups, and pages each month. We power transactions across WhatsApp, Messenger, Oculus, Social Good, Local, Video, Games, and beyond. The mission of the Mobile Financial Services team is to bring people together through commerce, making financial services ubiquitously accessible and useful. The team is focused on delivering the benefits of Facebook's technology and scale to decrease existing barriers to financial access. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the strategy and prioritization of features for the core Mobile Financial Services product. A Product Manager with strong product sense, who has experience scaling a product to new geographies or someone with mobile money experience in emerging markets would be a great fit!


  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products for that breakdown barriers to financial services access in emerging markets
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Drive product development with a team of engineers, researchers, designers and data scientists
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform product success
  • Develop and manage endâ€'to-end product roadmap plans and deliver high quality on time
  • Understand existing and emerging financial services ecosystem, Facebook’s strategic position and deliver products that are recognized as best in the industry
  • Maximize efficiency and remove blockers in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Experience with consumer products in emerging markets or financial services/FinTech in any market type
  • Communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Understanding of the ecosystem surrounding delivery of financial services
  • Experience building consumer products with partner/supplier dependencies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Emerging Markets experience or financial technology experience with an interest in emerging markets
