The Core App team is responsible for the Facebook app which is at the center of this mission. Over 2.1 billion people worldwide rely on Facebook to stay connected with their friends, family, and community. The Core App team spans products such as News Feed, Profile, Sharing, Groups, Search, Video, and many more, and Monetization of these products. Our goal is to help people form meaningful social connections and enrich their lives and help our partners, such as content creators and group admins, leverage Core App to build meaningful communities in a sustainable way.
Product Managers on the Core App team work with teams of engineers, designers, data scientists, and researchers to build the products and features within the Facebook app. Product Managers are responsible for understanding the problems and opportunities, identifying the most important work, and enabling the team to execute against that plan. We're looking for world-class product thinkers who can understand what makes products useful and delightful, make decisions with data, and lead teams via inspiration and example. This position is full-time and based at our Menlo Park office.
- Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products
- Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
- Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
- Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
- Understand Facebook's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
- 5+ years product management or product design experience
- Organizational and analytical experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical architecture of web applications and/or media products
- 5+ years experience designing user interfaces
- Experience developing social products, technologies and platforms
