Messenger Kids is a parent-managed, stand-alone messaging app for kids whose mission is to empower kids to safely connect with their close friends and family through communication, creative expression and play. Kids use Messenger Kids, while parents manage the experience through their Facebook accounts.There are over 250 million 6-12 year olds around the world who have access to a device, yet there are very few purpose built communication apps designed just for the unique needs of kids and their parents. The Messenger Kids team is building for this growing group of internet users, introducing parents and kids to the value of staying connected, while giving parents the tools to make the experience one that fits best for their family. We're looking for a strong Product Management Leader to join our team to help solve the unique challenges and opportunities for kids and their parents as they first begin to use technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong consumer product background and is able develop product strategy balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.As a novel and relatively new messaging app in the Facebook Family, this position requires entrepreneurial drive, the ability to develop plans with ecosystem partners, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and a rigorous, analytical approach to problem solving. In this role, you'll be leading a growing team of product managers responsible for developing safe and engaging messaging tools for kids and their families.

  • Lead a team through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
  • Understand Facebook's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • 8+ years experience in product management or similar positions, including people management responsibilities
  • Experience presenting to senior executive audiences
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience using data to drive rigorous product strategy
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in a consumer focused technology company
  • Experience building 0-1 products
  • Experience building products for Kids
  • MBA
