Product Launch Specialist, Law Enforcement Response Team

The Law Enforcement Response Team ensures that we have sufficient operational support in place for all new products launched across the Facebook suite of apps. The Product Launch Specialist works at the intersection of our Global Product, Policy, Legal, and Engineering teams to manage end-to-end activities that allow us to build new support and enhance current support for new products. The Product Launch Specialist coordinates new product portfolio with focus in operations and internal support. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, get-things-done professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. They will have demonstrated the ability to coordinate with cross-functional leads on mission critical operational issues spanning policy, product, user operations, engineering, and other interdependent teams. This person will be highly organized, productive, poised, and able to thrive in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project management activities related to new and existing products and features and the successful execution of complex, cross-functional operational support efforts for new products
  • Provide department specific input on all new products and iterations of existing products as part of a broader cross-functional partnership
  • Drive teams to alignment on key decisions and escalate as required
  • Spot and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues, often unique to each project
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams when new products surface
  • Advocate for the Facebook community and various cross-functional partners in discussions with Product and Engineering
  • Work with internal partners to ensure team engagement prior to upcoming product releases
  • Develop comprehensive testing plans for new products, work with cross-functional partners to align on integration, and troubleshoot potential issues prior to launch
  • Develop and deliver tool and product training presentations and maintain documentation, including acquisitions and market roll out
  • Apply solid judgement regarding support needs across multiple competing priorities
  • Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that development and operational readiness requirements are understood and implemented
  • Develop and document workflows based on policy decisions and apply a broad understanding across global facets of operations
  • Review, prioritize, and track progress of risks and issues that affect launch support and impact team's ability to execute on time
  • Determine volume projections and training needs
  • Develop collaboration process and coordinate cross-functionally on new products and features with regional teams collectively through regional POCs and working groups
  • Communicate proactively to cross-functional partners, prepare formal recurring communications, and present to people at all levels of the organization
  • Monitor post-launch impact to assess effectiveness of support
  • Continually refine best practices for efficient and scalable end-to-end frameworks for launch process management
  • Ability to travel to both international and domestic locations
  • Develop and maintain program management framework to support team operations
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Facebook and Instagram platform
  • 4+ years experience in a project management, program management, product management, or similar strategic role
  • BS degree or international equivalent
  • Prior experience in providing training, presentations, and documentation maintenance
  • Experience interacting with internal and cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Product, Policy, and Training
  • Practical experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Multitasking experience
  • Communication experience
