Product Development Specialist, Community Operations

Facebook is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join the Product Operations team. The Product Operations team fuels product quality and engagement by representing the voice of the user at scale. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating and communicating the quality and stability of Facebook's products as reported by internal stakeholders. You'll own the processes for collecting, generating, and triaging internally reported quality issues, which includes collaborating with a vendor partner based in Texas that executes on those processes. Additionally, you will partner with product and engineering teams to implement process and tooling improvements focused on driving developer efficiency, resolution of issues, and increased product quality. Some business travel is required (less than 20%) to meet with partners from product and engineering teams as well as remote contractor teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert in the health and quality of Facebook products
  • Own the process for collecting, investigating, and triaging internal reports of quality and stability issues
  • Collaborate with a vendor partner to execute daily triage workflows
  • Develop and communicate compelling analyses and recommendations over aggregate trends from internal feedback
  • Inform and deliver new strategies and tactics for delivering high-quality products to end users at scale
  • Collaborate with other Product Specialists and Engineering partners to implement process and tool improvements
  • Maintain training and process documentation for product specific knowledge areas
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years experience interfacing with technologies used to build web and native applications
  • Experience analyzing and solving problems
  • Communication experience especially around communicating team impact
  • Experience with Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, economics, engineering or other related field
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to prioritize among conflicting demands
