Product Designer AR/VR

We're looking for a talented Product Designer passionate about advancing the boundaries in AR/VR. This position will afford you the opportunity to explore use cases that combine spatial UX with emerging needs in communication and productivity.

This team works to define, test and deliver product that asserts VR can unlock a world of potential in the cross section of productivity and social presence. This half, the team is focused on fortifying and extending our existing app, by putting it into the hands of our eager internal users, and gaining insight into how remote and distributed teams can best benefit from VR in comparison to standard tools. The successful candidate will be a design leader with the ability to steer a product design team to close on ambiguous problems in a zero to one space, while maintaining the capability of rolling up their sleeves and delivering designs from wireframes down to pixel-perfect output.

PRODUCT DESIGNER AR/VR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize and iterate on high-quality designs
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
  • Document processes and methodology
  • Contribute to defining interaction patterns for VR
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, art team, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
  • Render and animate pre-visualizations to help communicate ideas
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality
  • Problem solve within Unity
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in leading and scaling a Product Design team that has shipped multiple zero to one products
  • Have a customer-focused mindset and love for design from a strategic level down to the last pixel
  • Have a strong cross-platform design portfolio that shows how the user problem was solved and all the design thinking that got you to the final optimal solution
  • Experience owning and evolving a Design System in collaboration with Product Management, Research and Engineering colleagues
  • Experience in working in a high-growth Agile environment where decisions are driven by data and customer insights
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator. You need to influence, align and motivate multiple stakeholders in Product Management, Design & Engineering
  • 7+ years shipping design products
  • Minimum of 2+ years professionally designing VR, AR or MR experiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters degree in Architecture, interaction or industrial design
  • Experience designing for diverse groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.)
