Product Design Manager - WWW

Facebook's Web team is looking for a Product Design Manager to lead the team and help define the future of Facebook's website. You'll directly impact the design of a website that is used by half a billion people each month across all desktop devices.
As a Product Design Manager at Facebook you'll help define product strategy, work with designers and engineers to plan and design new features, and own the overall quality of what is shipped. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coach experienced designers to achieve career goals and personal growth
  • Recruit and hire new designers to build a diverse team
  • Own the outcomes and quality of what the team ships
  • Collaborate on planning and strategy for the team with other managers, leads, and designers
  • Participate in regular product reviews with leadership to help inform and guide strategy
  • Work with Engineers, Engineering Managers, Design Program Managers, Technical Program Managers, and Product Managers to build and scale processes and programs that support the team's goals
  • Represent the team to the company in cross-functional meetings and all-hands presentations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a people management role on a design team
  • 10+ years of experience as a member of a Product Design team
  • Examples of visual and interaction design for web in your portfolio
  • Technical experience, e.g. has implemented designs with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience shaping and leading product strategy
  • A portfolio of work that contains examples of Interaction (UX) Design and Visual Systems Development across device
