Product Design Manager - Product Foundation (New York City)

The Platforms & Interfaces team focuses on making Instagram available in more places for more people and on providing a cohesive, high quality experience in how Instagram keeps people informed about the people and things they love. This team owns the end-to-end experience for Instagram.com (desktop and mobile), as well as a new Instagram Lite experience we're slowly rolling out around the world. It also owns the Activity tab in the main Instagram app, where people stay up-to-date on new followers and recent activity that's relevant to them.

PRODUCT DESIGN MANAGER - PRODUCT FOUNDATION (NEW YORK CITY) RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This leader will be responsible for building new team and establishing culture.
  • Responsible for ensuring team has a high bar for craft and systematic thinking.
  • Responsible for building experiences for people in emerging markets and can be hands-on as a designer in a larger tech company.
  • Responsible for overseeing design systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years management experience.
  • 5+ years of design experience.
  • A portfolio of work that contains examples of Interaction (UX) Design and Visual Systems.
  • Experience developing digital applications that work in cross-browser environments.
  • Experience communicating data to drive change.
