PhD and research recruiting is a core strategic driver of Facebook’s success. We have a world-class team working together to help drive our ambitions and scale to the next level. We're seeking a dynamic recruiter who brings a balance of creativity, focus, and determination to join in this mission by supporting our research recruiting efforts. As a PhD and Postdoctoral Recruiter, you will also be responsible for hiring world-class groups of people capable of furthering many of our research and engineering areas. We’re passionate about delivering an awesome candidate experience at each stage of the conversation by lending genuine insight into the company, mission and challenges. Your work will have a direct impact on the team, culture, and identity of Facebook.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for PhD and postdoctoral candidates (interns and full-time) with a focus on strong hiring manager partnership and candidate advocacy
  • Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns
  • Partner closely with other PhD recruiters to ensure smooth candidate transition and consistent candidate experience
  • Find, engage and activate passive candidates
  • Collaborate with client groups and hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and goals
  • Drive offer process including extending offers, closing candidates, and generating offer letters
  • Facilitate interview and hiring discussions with interviewers and hiring managers
  • Regularly track pipeline, priorities and performance data to share with internal stakeholders
  • Recommend and drive improvements that impact PhD pipeline areas and the recruiting organization
  • Partner with Academic Relations team to leverage and build relationships resulting in candidate pipelines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to travel during peak recruiting cycles
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Communication experience
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities
  • 2+ years experience developing sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill requisitions
  • 2+ years experience with engaging and activating passive candidates
  • Experience with candidate care and balancing process with a candidate experience
  • Experience partnering with managers, interviewers, and team members throughout the hiring process
  • Experience evaluating of CVs to identify team alignment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • 2+ years PhD recruiting experience
  • Experience screening resumes/CVs to identify candidates
  • Experience in understanding tech skill sets, research conferences, academic labs, and communities
  • Experience in communicating across various stakeholder groups in several locations
  • Strong attention to detail
