People Compliance Lead

Facebook's People Compliance team is looking for a People Compliance Lead to support I-9 Work Authorization for our I-9 program. This role will report into the People Compliance Manager for North America and work closely with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to manage daily program operations and deliverables, triage and respond to related requests and drive process improvements. A successful candidate will have substantive experience working in the I-9 specific space, Immigration, or HR Compliance space with a strong analytical and operational background as well as interpersonal and project-management skills. This role will be part of the larger Global People Compliance Team who is responsible for providing innovative end to end global employment and inclusion compliance.


  • Oversee work product of I-9 onsite vendor team to include new I-9 records, re-verifications, e-Verify records, audits and purging
  • Drive long term, scalable strategy as well as drive and implement process improvements
  • Serve as primary liaison between I-9 vendor team and Immigration vendor and counsel, as well as primary partner to internal stakeholders such as the L&D team, People Operations Partners, and HRBPs
  • Partner with the L&D Orientation team to deliver a positive new hire onboarding experience as related to US work authorization
  • Responsible for the I-9 vendor team relationship, assisting in team member on-boarding and coordinating peak season staffing
  • Manage projects related to I-9 process and system changes or enhancements
  • Serve as primary point of contact for I-9 vendor account management team and counsel
  • Serve as ICE audit point of contact
  • Initiate and independently drive improvements, resolve issues, and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Partner with others on People Compliance team on cross-functional projects
  • Leverage broader compliance awareness and skills to assist with/cover EEO program elements as needed to augment the current team
  • Partner closely with the NorAm People Compliance Manager on other people compliance tasks and projects
  • 5+ years experience in Human Resources, I-9 program management, Immigration or Legal Compliance
  • Experience working within and interpreting US immigration regulations and compliance related concepts
  • Experience communicating issues to cross-functional partners at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience issue spotting and assessing information for risk mitigation
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with multi-tasking and driving process-improvements
  • Experience in working across various teams
  • Experience in Affirmative Action planning and EEO reporting
  • Experience working in the Tech Sector
  • Experience working on broader HR and recruiting compliance related matters
