Partner Services - Sports, Media Partnerships

Facebook is seeking an analyst to focus on research, reporting, and data-driven projects for the Sports Partnerships team within the larger Media Partnerships organization. The Sports Partnerships team at Facebook works closely with the leading content creators in the world, including leagues, teams, media, journalists and athletes. This is a unique opportunity to execute on a strategy designed to support sports publishers through data and insights in order to help them reach their objectives on and off Facebook platforms. Candidates must have experience working with large data sets, knowledge of the sports industry and a willingness to get scrappy. This role reports to the US Sports Partner Services lead.


  • Communicate findings and distill analyses into relevant actionable insights
  • Build dashboards and reports to track sports partners
  • Proactively leverage data to analyze trends amongst sports publishers and communicate findings to the rest of the Sports Team
  • Run analyses to provide supporting details for partner case studies
  • Expand sports partnerships data infrastructure by building automated data pipelines
  • Assist with the creation of deep dive presentations for top-tier partner meetings
  • Work with global team to scale and standardize sports partner data support across markets
  • Work on special projects such as tracking internal objectives, and helping facilitate data-focused deep-dives to enhance partner performance
  • Consult with Media Partnerships Research team on research methodologies and in-depth projects
  • Present data/research projects to team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience in data, reporting, and analytical problem solving
  • Experience manipulating data sets in SQL or equivalent
  • Experience visualizing data sets
  • Familiarity with Facebook’s Page Insights and KPIs sports publishers track externally
  • Understanding of the sports industry and sports publisher ecosystem on Facebook
  • Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel

  • Experience working with Hive and Tableau
