Operations Program Manager - Tools Integration

Facebook is seeking an Operations Program Manager with web and enterprise infrastructure environment experience. The Infrastructure Services and Operational Support team designs, implements and continuously evolves systems and processes to support all aspects of network and data center operations. In this role, you will work closely with Facebook data center managers, network and software engineers, key Infrastructure business stakeholders, and end users to devise technical solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation. The Operations Program Manager will support our global provisioning team’s deployments, operations, and tools. The program will support the growth, management, and 24x7 upkeep of Facebook.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage software integration for highly cross-functional hardware development projects in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (all phases of new hardware development, software engineering, hardware/software integration, new product introduction (NPI))
  • Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions
  • Work closely with production engineering, software engineering and hardware engineering teams in Menlo Park, Seattle, Dublin and other US and EMEA locations to drive high-impact projects to successful completion
  • Oversee roll-out of new systems and enhancements, regularly update stakeholders on resolution of issues while new changes are bedding-in
  • Review integration and validation issues and determine if a technology solution is required or a process correction needs to be made
  • Conduct business process re-engineering reviews to innovate on business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and effectiveness
  • Elicit detailed business requirements by engaging the business to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, systems and data diagrams and process flow diagrams
  • Provide hands-on tactical program management during EVT, DVT, PVT and MP hardware development phases
  • Lead/support all tools and operations integration activities including driving tooling integration for several simultaneous hardware projects, track progress, risks and issues, represent tools integration for all new hardware phase exit reviews as well as program-level communications
  • Drive continual improvement of systems and data workflows, dependency mapping, overall process and phase exit criteria and validation
  • Identify areas of risk and drive mitigation with subject matter experts within the organization
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, MIS, or a related field
  • 6+ years of work experience in Product or Technical Program Management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space
  • Demonstrated experience adapting and learning skill sets
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
  • Communication experience
  • Experience collaborating with different individuals across external organizations, within other geographies, and "roll-up the sleeves" to accomplish all tasks

  • Interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
