Marketing Researcher

You’ll partner with Product Marketing to understand the needs of key audiences and help inform marketing programs and communications to articulate the value of Facebook products to consumers.
Creativity, energy, flexibility, collaboration, and a passion for translating complex ideas into simple and compelling messages are a must. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute innovative quantitative and qualitative research to support the marketing organization and Facebook at large. The core focus will be on developing marketing and communications strategy based on consumer insights
  • Design journey research, attitudinal segmentations, and strategic quantitative work that will require both off-platform and on-platform analysis
  • Take high level strategic brand insights and be able to take a holistic approach to unearthing critical insights that will drive the holistic business forward
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights that will have an effect on reaching hundreds of millions of people
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and product partners to thread the needle across quantitative work and qualitative work in order to ensure we are connecting the dots across the team
  • Play a consultative role in leveraging holistic insights work to help shape positioning and messaging, drive creative briefs, inform the development of product level or company level narratives
  • Able to multi-task and lead several large- scale quantitative projects at any given time
  • Travel Domestic and International up to 25% of the time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of quantitative primary research experience (mix of client and supplier side)
  • Experience with qualitative techniques and experience conducting online qualitative
  • Experience on the front end of the marketing process and directing agencies/vendors to deliver results
  • Experience with executing full-cycle research independently from survey design, discussion guide creation, fielding, data cleaning and analysis, weighting, and reporting
  • Experience with segmentation, consumer journey (bonus), positioning, and value proposition development
  • Experience understanding of statistics/multi-variate analyses and experience requesting the right analytics for the right outcome
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing executives and colleagues
  • Problem-solving and prioritization experience moving from blank slate to a research problem matched with a methodology
  • Experience with brand and advertising research
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Market Research, or a related field of study
  • Live moderating experience
