We are looking for a full-time and experienced marketing manager to support a wide range of initiatives and programs across emerging markets in APAC. This role will work cross-functionally to drive marketing strategies and execution for our consumer and thought-leaders across the region. The successful candidate must have an entrepreneurial mindset, be a self starter with experience in integrated marketing to drive awareness & brand sentiment. In particular, this role will include marketing strategy development, program/brand marketing, media planning, and measurement. He or she must also have experience influencing senior stakeholders in a highly complex organization. This is a full-time position, based in Singapore, and will require occasional global travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive awareness & positive sentiment amongst consumers and influencers in emerging markets across Asia, such as Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, by developing and executing localized marketing initiatives.
  • Develop, execute and optimize marketing campaigns to educate new and existing users on how to have a positive and safe experience on Facebook.
  • Own marketing strategy, event programming, and execution of collateral and branding for local programs such as FbStart and Developer Circle.
  • Build content that will resonate to our audience such as localized narrative, partner case studies, and content management in general (decks/infographics, etc.).
  • Own our industry event program in emerging markets to identify key industry opportunities, ensure optimal editorial presence and inclusion in outbound comms, post activation and own all other assets related to the program.
  • Uncover trends, data and insights to build out our brand proposition to internal and external audiences.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in Policy, Partnerships and Communication to drive programs and narratives that protect and increase our brand reputation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS, with an MBA or master degree as a plus
  • 10+ years professional experience in brand management, consumer marketing, product marketing or agency experience, ideally at a technology company.
  • Prior experience with a global consumer brand in South East Asia required.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating global brand narratives to the APAC/Southeast Asia audiences.
  • Proficient English speaker. Additional language in Burmese, Vietnamese or Khmer is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
  • Experience working in matrix and cross-functional organizations
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and proven project management skills, end to end experience of the marketing process from briefing to execution.
  • A relationship builder, who can navigate and influence cross-functional peers and more senior management
  • Highly autonomous-ability to drive progress with little to no direct involvement from leadership in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude.
