Facebook Security focuses on keeping the people who use Facebook and our employees safe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for security and a commitment to project execution. We are looking for a leader for our Security Project Manager team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team who designs, implements and continuously evolves Facebook's Security Operations. This role will include direct management of a team of Security Project Managers who oversee initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and solve tough enterprise challenges within the Security Operations team. This position will be located in Menlo Park, CA with up to 10% national and international travel required.

  • Lead, build, retain, hire and develop a team of Managers of the Security Program Management function responsible for overseeing the delivery of Operational Security Programs enabling the Security team to scale capabilities while empowering Facebook's rapid innovation and growth
  • Find practical solutions to standardize and scale across Facebook
  • Define metrics to track Security Program Management progress and maturity for various stakeholders
  • Communicate status to internal teams and assist teams in unblocking progress to goals
  • Responsible for people management of a team, providing performance reviews, continual feedback, coaching and career growth for direct reports
  • Provide leadership to effectively collaborate with and influence organizations that connect with Security Operations, while establishing crisp hand-offs between teams
  • Serve as an evangelist for the SPM function and overall culture, both internally and externally
  • Establish and foster strong working relationships with various stakeholders and teams
  • Work with your team to align tactical programs to large strategic objectives and big bets and ensure they understand the big picture and goals
  • Empower your team to define and document the end-to-end business processes currently used, design and develop scalable solutions that meet the goals and objectives of our Security operations while streamlining and scaling the process- optimization is key
  • Manage expectations of all interested parties: define clear program roadmaps with key deliverables and milestone dates, maintain program status wiki pages, provide frequent program updates, and identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to track progress to goal
  • Focus on growing and building a strong, productive, and satisfied team
  • Highlight opportunities for significant operational improvements and lead high impact, cross-functional initiatives with measurable results
  • Work with internal team to understand and perform the day to day work of our Security programs in order to implement new processes, and contribute to ongoing process improvements
  • Ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely manner to program stakeholders
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards and metrics around performance by mining data analytically and extracting impactful operational insight
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent degree
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of employees
  • 8+ years of work experience in Project Management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value managing scalable solutions
  • Experience distilling issues and feedback into directive communications
  • Experience structuring an organization that optimizes for execution, including attracting talent and building out gaps in the existing team
  • Experience building and maintaining reports, dashboards and metrics around performance by mining data analytically and extracting operational insight
  • Experience handling a number of tasks while demonstrating ownership to drive tasks and issues to completion
  • Experience in program management, team building, and leadership development
  • Experience moving from strategy to execution and delivering results while managing multiple tasks
  • Experience collaborating and influencing with cross-functional teams, within other geographies and experience "rolling-up the sleeves" in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational experience
  • Organizational and coordination skills along with multitasking experience to get things done in an ambiguous and fast paced environment
  • Experience in coordinating information security projects
  • Project management certification
  • Experience managing managers
