Facebook is seeking an Operations Manager to join the Community Operations team. This position is full-time and is based out of our Dublin office. The Community Operations team maintains people's safety by identifying and resolving abuse of our Terms of Use, building trust in the Facebook experience. The focus is on building people's engagement on Facebook by developing scaled solutions for their issues, analysing how they interact with various features of Facebook and each other, and delivering qualitative and quantitative insights into usage behavior to the rest of the company. The successful candidate will work with the newly formed Measurement team focusing on measuring the enforcement of our policies, the accuracy of our scaled review team and will have the opportunity to impact both.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day to day operations across multiple regions with cross-functional partners and vendor teams
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to members of your team
  • Lead and enable a high-performing team to deliver on operational goals by providing superb 1:1 support and enabling deeper, more scalable solutions
  • Establish team goals and work with direct reports on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results
  • Deliver projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development working directly with global cross-functional teams to problem solve and develop solutions
  • Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence team strategy through effective communication
  • Advocate for users within their market, partnering with global and cross-functional teams to develop global solutions
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science and Policy teams to measure and improve the accuracy of our policies and enforcement
  • Provide technical and thought leadership on the current measurement processes and tools
  • Influence and support quality measurement and solutions through presentation of data-based recommendations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of ecosystems around online operations
  • Significant experience in a complex fast paced environment (preferably Operations)
  • Strong people management experience
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for ensuring a good user experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in one of the following areas: operations management, quality and measurement technology, program management, business analytics or intelligence
  • Hands-on experience working with data science tools such as R/SPSS/SAS, SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Python etc.
  • Knowledge with quantitative research methods and considerations
  • Experience analyzing and deriving meaning from large unstructured data sets
