Manager, Channel Marketing (Small Business)

The Small Business Group contributes directly to this mission by connecting every small business in the world with their customers on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, and then helping them grow through solutions like pages, advertising, and messaging. We succeed when we help our customers grow their business. The Small Business Group at Facebook is one of two sales channels responsible for Facebook's multi-billion dollar advertising business. Our team helps more than 99% of Facebook's 7 million plus advertisers. Our potential business is even larger with more than 90 million active Small Business pages on Facebook.

Facebook is seeking an experienced marketing leader for its small business channel marketing team who is passionate about online advertising, customer success, and developing strong teams and individuals. You will lead a team of marketers to drive retention and long term revenue for our long tail customers with marketing campaigns and close collaboration with product. You will do this by establishing the marketing vision across new advertiser onboarding, advertiser education, and product adoption; then by driving excellent execution and scaling successes, along with cross-functional partners.

Channels that you and your team will utilize include Email, Facebook and Instagram Ads, Onsite Merchandising, Search Engine Marketing, off-platform digital (display, programmatic) and traditional media such as events and direct mail. You must thrive in cross-functional environments and exhibit a customer-centric, performance marketing mindset. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.

MANAGER, CHANNEL MARKETING (SMALL BUSINESS) RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, grow and guide a team of marketers that build and execute the marketing strategy to drive growth for our long tail advertisers
  • Create a strong culture centered on impact, transparency, individual and business growth, and fun
  • Build and manage strong and effective relationships with cross-functional analytics, business marketing, creative teams and product teams
  • Manage and drive results through full-time employees and external agencies
  • Ruthlessly prioritize across initiatives and stakeholders to ensure that team is delivering the most impact
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Generate break-through insights, capabilities, thought leadership that drive significant response improvement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in marketing
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or agencies, with a track record of increasing responsibility, including managing teams
  • Digital marketing experience with knowledge of channels like email, Facebook and Instagram ads, as well as knowledge of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing
  • Analytical experience and experience working with analytics/data science team on experimental design and cross-channel measurement
  • Track record of forming partnerships with product and influencing roadmaps
  • Demonstrated experience achieving marketing results against team and company objectives
  • Experience leading, influencing, and providing direction to cross-functional teams
  • Communication experience with peers, management, and cross-functional teams
