London Office Lead

This role will be pivotal contributing to and delivering on the London site culture strategy, which will comprise of events and activities around key fb priorities (e.g. community, social good, etc.). This role will work closely with the London Leads Team to support how we bring people together and build the FBLON experience for employees. The contributions of this role will need to take into account our multi-site,,multi business (GMS, Biz, Tech) structure and ensure there is good representation across our London locations.

Responsibilities

  • Site Leadership
    • Participate in London Leads Group, coordinates agenda and has project management responsibilities for the London site plan/initiatives
    • Member of the Tech Site Leadership Forums, working closely with the leadership teams and key stakeholders to raise concerns, feedback and make recommendations accordingly.
    • Leads the tech community and culture site builder group, partnering with site builders to integrate their activities/initiatives and programs across the office.
    • Manage site gen budget expenditure, partnering with the finance team to provide bottoms up plans
    • Works with the Domain Leads and tech HRBP to manage the integration of tech events and initiatives with the aim of creating a strong Facebook culture for Engineering, including contributing to internal community building initiatives (i.e tech managers, Senior IC's).
  • Internal Comms
    • Delivers plans and facilitates for London wide communication events.
    • Delivers a quarterly Tech All Hands programme including content creation and collation
    • Partners with site tech HRBP and Domain Leads to create content for Tech Site updates/priorities comms.
    • Managers internal and external tech speakers programme
    • Contributes to moderation and admin of larger London groups, including London FYI, London Tech FYI, London Social and London Tech Social in partnership with Internal Comms Manager and HRBP's
  • Events
    • Strategically leads, builds and oversees the internal events program and various events for London tech site, working with other office partners to ensure a great experience for all employees i.e. Tech summit, hacktober, annual site wide hack programme.
    • Site sponsor for company-wide social events (holiday party, summer party, game day, bring your kids to work day)
    • Owns logistics, coordination and promotion of fb all office-based events, e.g. exec Q&As, Company All Hands viewings.
    • Coordinates the content for exec briefings , partnering with internal comms team on messaging of corporate announcements /exec visits.
    • Point of contact and advisor for any grass-roots efforts that require support and promotion, e.g. guest speakers, A Day in the Life@ events, Bring Your Parents to Work Day, etc.
  • Facilities
    • Is a key stakeholder with Facilities, influencing on areas of space planning, decor, expansion plans etc for all London sites.
    • Acts as escalation path for office related issues, concerns, feedback and suggestions and triages accordingly.
  • Management
    • Management of the tech events coordinator
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Strong communications skills. Experience in communications roles essential
  • Strategic thinking and excellent execution
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Confidence working with people at the most senior levels of the organization
  • Empathy - to anticipate needs and issues of the site
  • Curiosity to learn and grown
  • Good analytical skills - research into requirements essential to success in this role
  • Strong project management skills as this role requires an ability to juggle multiple projects, working to tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills - this is a very people-focused role
  • Experience working cross-functionally in different job functions (e.g. tech vs. non-tech)
