Facebook seeks a highly-motivated, detail-oriented team player to serve as Legal Operations Analyst to oversee day-to-day e-billing administration, reporting and analytics, Legal vendor management and Legal procurement. This team member will also lead and contribute to many Legal Operations projects. As a member of the Legal Operations team, you will be responsible for driving progress legal department projects, and for driving increased efficiencies for the Legal department. The department currently has 330+ people working worldwide in support of Facebook's mission to develop the social infrastructure to give people the power to build a global community. This is a full-time position based in Facebook's offices in Menlo Park, California. The position will report to Facebook's Head of Legal Operations.


  • Principal E-billing system administrator, day-to day billing management, reporting and analytics
  • E-billing project management
  • Law Firm relationship support, including billing rate reviews, analysis and coordination
  • Law Firm spend analysis and reporting, including support for firm diversity reporting
  • Month-end and quarter-end legal-spend reporting, collaboration on legal budget management with FP&A team
  • Support and co-manage legal dashboards
  • A/P and Global Audit relationship lead for legal payment processing and troubleshooting
  • IT/Business Applications Team coordination for e-billing system support
  • Assist in supervising 3rd party invoice review team and in supporting internal attorney approval processes
  • Legal Operations program support. Help advance Legal Operations team projects, driving to on-time and on-budget results and savings, and support ad hoc projects within the department as they arise
  • Make significant contributions to process design efforts to positively impact the Legal team and its clients. Manage process documentation and provide on-going support for implemented processes
  • Assist in identification and implementation of new Legal department tools and technology solutions. Assist in defining centralized resources that are well-maintained and accurate. Take on administrative management, maintenance and improvement assignments for identified tool and technology solutions. Assist with solution controls and reporting. Evaluate, test, train, implement and support technology solutions interfacing with IT and Legal team members
  • Contribute to strategic planning/roadmap development efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or legal operations experience
  • Legal Tracker/Serengeti e-billing system, Excel, and Tableau experience
  • Experience in the areas of legal budget management and reporting
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing legal department technology solutions (e.g., e-billing, contract and document management, self-service contracting, e-signature, knowledge management, etc.)
  • Proven track record of breaking down complex processes and identifying key pain points in order to deliver business improvements at local, regional and global levels
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups to set objectives and produce results
  • Ability to multi-task in an unstructured environment of fast growth and ambiguity
  • Interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to take on projects involving unfamiliar subject matters
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, business and organizational needs
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with various teams across the organization, including Finance and IT

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting/Finance background or law firm billing experience
