Lead Legal Project Manager - IP/Patents/Litigation

Facebook's Legal Project Management team is looking for a Lead Legal Project Manager that will provide project management support our team's growing Legal teams with a focus on such areas as IP, Patents, Litigation and other Policy matters. The Lead Legal Project Manager will work closely with Legal team members and cross-functional partners to manage and run complex and strategic projects within the Facebook Legal. This role will manage one or more other Project Managers in the space. The ideal candidate will have an ability to see the big picture and incorporates problem solving, critical thinking and tactical execution into their daily work.


  • Lead multiple work streams and/or project teams to execute against project plans
  • Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with management on strategy/key summaries and be able to throttle to granular detail within working teams
  • Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of activities and project delivery
  • Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines
  • Propose solutions to manage client/customer expectations and manage scope in the delivery of the project
  • Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe
  • Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, including legal and policy domain knowledge, in order to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems
  • Travel as needed (up to 10% depending on location and assigned projects) and occasionally internationally
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years additional project/program management experience in lieu of a degree
  • 7+ years of project/program management experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects and facilitating meetings with stakeholders
  • Experience working with stakeholders and cross-functional partners
  • Experience in project management roles within the technology or professional services industries
  • Experience working on Legal, Security, Risk, or Policy projects
  • PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certification(s)
