Lead, Legal Investigations Analytics

Facebook's Compliance, Security and Investigations group is seeking someone to join our Legal Investigations team. The Legal Investigations Analytics Lead will find creative ways to use data to solve cases, and develop and grow our initiatives by providing metrics and using data to spot trends and deficiencies. The preferred candidate has a technical background in business intelligence and data analytics in a risk-related field (e.g. investigations compliance, corruption, fraud) and is an expert at analyzing different data sources and helping to visualize them. The successful candidate will be able to assess and analyze large amounts of data in order to identify sources of potential threats and abuses. Additionally, communication is just as important as your technical ability as you will need to work with and present to non-technical stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and analyze large volumes of data to prioritize and investigate matters related to safety, cybersecurity, and compliance, using a variety of tools and techniques, including database queries and parsing
  • Leverage data to identify patterns, anomalies and hidden relationships
  • Identify sources of potential threats and abuses
  • Provide data and analytics support during safety-related investigation events and for investigation reviews following such events
  • Design and implement compliance investigations initiatives, and develop key reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Collect and organize data for inclusion in dashboards and assist with creating such dashboards using Tableau
  • Automate investigations oversight metrics
  • Provide thought leadership in developing ongoing enhancements to identifying, detecting & triaging threats
  • Support the design of risk-based remediation solutions by collaborating with Global Ethics & Compliance, Project Managers, IT partners, and other cross-functional teams, and stakeholders
  • Sometimes work off hours, including weekends and holidays, in order to support emergency matters and support globally based company employees
  • Travel domestically and abroad
  • Present to non-technical audiences
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Business, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Economics, or other business- or technical-related fields
  • 4+ years of data assurance, data analysis or data management experience as it relates to supporting business processes
  • SQL experience
  • Experience in scripting languages, e.g. Python
  • Knowledge of Palantir, I2 or similar tools
  • Data visualization experience using Tableau and other application
  • Consulting or corporate work experience focused on using data to uncover insights that drive actions
  • Business analysis experience
  • Public presentation experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Technical knowledge and experience related to cybercrime and online investigations
  • Advanced degrees (Masters, PhD, etc.)
