Lead, Developer Policy Enforcement Operations (APAC)

Our team makes sure the applications on our platform are high-quality and trustworthy. Working closely with other Facebook teams, we detect and investigate violations of our Platform Policies. Depending on the nature of the violation and the best interests of our users, we may take a variety of actions; everything from helping the developer fix the problem, to permanently removing the developer and application from our platform. We’re working to improve the platform experience for both users and developers through the use of automated detection tools, strategic manual review, data analysis, developer guidance, and coordination with product engineers. A successful candidate for this role will be able to analyze the impact of policy and enforcement decisions, lead cross-functional projects, develop creative enforcement and compliance solutions, communicate effectively with both internal and external audiences, and make decisions in coordination with multiple Facebook teams. In particular, they will be able to support and educate developers as they seek to comply with Facebook Platform Policies. This position is available in our Singapore office.


  • Develop a strong understanding of our platform policies, our mechanisms for detecting violations, the support we provide developers, and the range of enforcement actions we take
  • Deliver data-based insights about our developers so as to respond to trends
  • Work closely with Facebook teams including policy, developer relations, public communications, engineering, and partnerships
  • Understand and consider all perspectives in making enforcement decisions, and communicate those decisions to internal partners in a way that builds trust and respect within our ecosystem
  • Develop and lead a portfolio of projects to improve the consistency and efficiency of our communications, the efficiency of our detection and review mechanisms, and the policy education we provide to developers
  • Lead complex investigations of developers and devise methodologies to prevent future behaviours while taking appropriate enforcement actions
  • Communicate well with external developers and companies on sensitive matters including enforcement actions
  • Motivate and lead a regional team to execute enforcement and investigation projects/ programs
  • Graduate degree with analytics focus or 9+ years' work experience showing strong analytical thinking
  • 5+ years' work experience on program management or on regulatory matters / compliance management
  • 3+ years' people management experience
  • Demonstrate strong judgment, critical thinking and communication skills (e.g., persuasion, influence, conflict resolution)
  • Experienced in leading, coaching and developing team members
  • PMP® or PgMP® certification is a plus
  • Solid project management skills: create project outlines, plans, scope, timelines and deliverables, as well as multitasking and executing projects based on business priorities
  • Experience managing, influencing, and driving strategic solution development across different teams
  • Proven experience in policy, investigations, operations management or project management.
  • Experience in application development or data/statistical modelling is a plus
  • Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously in situations of extreme ambiguity, with high level direction
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong adaptability to changing needs of the business
