LATAM Compliance Manager

Facebook is seeking a LATAM Compliance Manager who is passionate about compliance and is eager to work in a highly collaborative environment, supporting the regional Compliance Manager to provide guidance and support to the various internal groups on compliance-related matters, map local compliance risks and oversee Facebook's relationships with 3rd parties, in order to ensure a coordinated best-in-class regional Compliance structure. The position is a full-time employee and will be based in our Mexico City office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute compliance program initiatives across LATAM markets, with a focus on Mexico and Colombia
  • Assist the regional Compliance Manager to conduct risk assessments, aiming to identify compliance issues and develop appropriate risk mitigation measures
  • Review local compliance approvals requests and triage matters for resolution or escalation
  • Develop and manage relationships with functional leaders and key stakeholders
  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders to provide compliance support to the business
  • Conduct compliance training for employees and third parties
  • Conduct compliance due diligence on third parties
  • Monitor business activities for potential compliance risk implications and maintain a current understanding of relevant functional processes
  • Provide support for compliance policy, process, and tool development and identify opportunities for programmatic improvements
  • Up to 30% regional travel is required

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Finance or Internal Audit
  • Extensive experience in compliance related matters, including 3rd party monitoring and due diligence, FCPA and other anticorruption regulations
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the company
  • Be able to execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment
  • High degree of professional ethics and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leadership and hands-on experience in compliance for global organizations
  • Proven operational experience with implementation of compliance program
  • Experience in delivering live training for large audiences
  • Skills to effortlessly communicate with the business in a clear and jargon-free fashion
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-changing environment
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
  • Fluency in Portuguese
