Internal Audit Manager â€" Privacy

Facebook Internal Audit (IA) team is looking for a Privacy Manager to lead a significant project portfolio through building and owning relationships with critical business partners, providing project oversight, and managing and developing a team of IA professionals. The Privacy Manager will also be instrumental in advancing IA’s role in the Company’s overall Privacy program. We are looking for a leader with deep expertise in the US and international privacy laws to build and conduct privacy audits throughout the organization. The candidate must be a master relationship builder and be comfortable and highly effective in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment as well as proficient in translating between Audit, Privacy, Technology, and Business dialects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set governance and strategy across the IA’s Privacy projects
  • Build strong relationships with key business partners across Facebook, including Privacy Legal, Global Privacy Teams, Regulatory Compliance, Information Security, and business owners, to thoroughly understand their business processes and identify appropriate risk mitigations and opportunities to add value
  • Drive risk assessment activities specific to privacy domain and participate in broader enterprise risk assessment and audit planning activities
  • Manage and develop a team of audit professionals to execute audits and projects, providing direction and ongoing coaching and development
  • Report to the VP of Internal Audit and as necessary to Executive Leadership on risks, portfolio of audits, and outcomes
  • Bring thought leadership, leading practice frameworks, audit process improvements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department
  • Collaborate with other Internal Audit leaders to execute IA’s strategy and coordinate cross-vertical audit projects and initiatives
  • Effectively manage relationship with the internal audit co-sourcing partner(s) to ensure that we execute as one team
  • Coordinate with other risk management functions (e.g., Regulatory Compliance and Information Security) to minimize duplication of effort and to ensure efficient execution
  • Viewed and respected as communication leader for internal audit and the broader organization
  • Follows-up with business partners to accomplish objectives while resolving conflicts, resistance or skepticism
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of combined privacy, Big Four, or internal audit experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Business Administration, Legal, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Subject matter knowledge in privacy, security, technology, auditing, and compliance risks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional privacy and/or auditing certifications, such as the CIPP, CISSP, CISA of CIA
  • Understanding of Facebook products and operations
  • Background in internal audit and/or working with third party auditors
