Infra Operations Program Manager - Diversity Programs

The IDC Business Support team designs, implements and continuously evolves business processes to support all aspects of the Infrastructure Data Center teams. Our team’s mission is to combine leading-edge business strategy and program management to develop operational efficiencies and effective solutions that help keep us nimble and one step ahead. In this role, you will be responsible for building and operationalizing efforts to advance outreach programs for the Black community within Facebook’s Infrastructure organization. You will work closely with leaders within Infra, Data Centers, HR, Diversity, Compliance, Legal and the greater external community to devise optimized solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation.
This position will be located in Menlo Park, CA with domestic and international travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and sustain a program for outreach and engagement of internal and external underrepresented communities to improve cultural awareness, increase inclusivity, and increase representation among targeted groups in the pipeline of potential candidates available for opportunities at Facebook
  • Partner with Infra leadership to create internal awareness programs bringing the broader organization together toward the goal of increased retention metrics surrounding Black representation in Infra
  • Execute internal and external leadership focused events designed to engage the community, increase employee engagement, and provide opportunities for professional and leadership development
  • Increase overall engagement by developing opportunities that promote diversity of thought and build active participation throughout the Infra organization
  • Build a virtual community across Infra while continuing to engage and share learnings with other diversity teams at Facebook
  • Work with Infra Recruiting Partners to implement sourcing strategies and recruiting events including internet recruiting, industry conferences, referral generation, college partnerships and networking to increase qualified pool of candidates in targeted groups
  • Establish Infra-wide accountability metrics (scorecards/audits/reporting tools) to track progress on key metrics & goals
  • Manage expectations of all interested parties: define clear program roadmaps with key deliverables and milestone dates, maintain program wiki pages, provide frequent program updates, and identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program
  • Quantify pain points around Infra Diversity challenges and prioritize in areas that will deliver the greatest impact
  • Conduct business process re-engineering workshops to innovate and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams, monitoring risk and change management considerations
  • Participate on Employee Resource Group cross-functional teams (i.e. facilitation, speaker selection, etc.)
  • Establish and foster strong working relationships with various stakeholders and teams, ensuring that the programs foster an environment of a broader ally community
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or another STEM related field
  • 8+ years experience in industry project management
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, interpersonal, and communication, and demonstrated track record of delivering business value, and leading organizational change
  • Interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration experience within a global, cross-functional team in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience
  • Experience in developing and leading cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of operational challenges and solving problems in various areas of business
  • Experience in examination and analysis, along with being consensus-building
  • Experience executing on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Communication experience
  • Organizational and time management experience

  • Experience within engineering and technical operations
