Facebook is seeking an innovative leader to join Facebook's Leadership team to help build and manage a team of vertical industry professionals to sell and deliver Facebook's marketing solutions to large online advertisers headquartered in Australia & New Zealand. The ideal candidate will be well versed in digital marketing and the power of the Facebook platform and have the capability to manage and motivate a small but high-performing team. Additionally, the candidate will have experience working within a matrix organization as well as experience in leading, coaching and influencing people to generate positive results. Candidates must have strong consultative sales skills, a collaborative and innovative spirit and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
As the Head of Travel, you will engage directly with CMO's and Executives of the leading brands in the Australian and New Zealand Travel industry, serving as a public evangelist and ambassador for Facebook and be keenly focused on surpassing the company's sales objectives.


  • Be an integral part of the ANZ Senior Leadership team

  • Be seen as an industry thought leader at the leading companies and brands in Australia & New Zealand particularly within the Travel industry
  • Understand our client's businesses and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs
  • Exceed sales, pricing and yield goals and develop scalable operations solutions and improvements to support Facebook's continued advertiser growth
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers, be a point of escalation for any potential issues
  • Execute projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategy development
  • Understand our client's businesses and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs
  • Execute projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategy development
  • Evangelize Facebook with agencies, clients and at targeted events, conferences and media opportunities and champion Facebook product releases internally and externally
  • Strong ability to forecast and efficiently allocate resources to drive profitable business results
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service and present Facebook's solutions in a compelling, positive and professional way.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A thorough understanding of the local travel industry's core business challenges / opportunities and ability to demonstrate critical industry solution selling at an individual and team level. 10 + years hands on experience of working with and building high performing sales teams. Proven track record of dealing at CEO & CMO level particularly within the Travel and Tourism industry. Provide strong leadership with the ability to build, train, coach and develop a high performing team including providing coaching and mentoring to other Team Leads
  • Demonstrated track record in leading a sales team to surpass its targets and significantly grow the scale of the business partnerships under their control
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships at the senior level across the business both internally and externally with good market reputation
  • Passion for Facebook and the disruptive potential of our platform
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning background
  • Ability to move fast, be bold, and thrive in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with a strong focus on collaboration

  • Knowledge of the ANZ market is strongly preferred.
