Facebook is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Project Management Lead to join the Global Business Marketing Guild team. The Project Management Lead directs all of our project management functions across channels — online and offline. This individual should be a highly motivated, strategic thinker who can guide, inspire, coach, and mentor our project management team, but who is also not afraid to get their hands dirty. The PM Lead must be extremely organized, with solid strategic planning, resource allocation and measurement skills. They must able to balance competing priorities, have demonstrated project management experience, and approach challenges with flexibility and a positive attitude. They must also be a strong communicator and, above all else, a problem-solver and collaborator.

The Project Management Lead will be responsible for process and execution around delivery within the Global Business Marketing team and will work with various stakeholders including Marketing, Events, Sales, Engineering, Marketing Strategy, and more.


  • Lead team of project managers across the production of campaigns, events, video, digital, and more to build work to drive business results
  • Develop, support and manage key strategic initiatives, from planning to execution, across the Marketing organization
  • Puts systems and processes in place that can scale the impact of the team and ultimately push the entire organization to operate more efficiently
  • Works with Marketing, Design, and Digital team to establish deadlines related to overall department goals, ensures team is aware of key milestone dates, and communicates issues related to staying on schedule
  • Partners with Operations on process and tools optimizations
  • Facilitates relationships between teams, moving process forward, finding resources, reworking schedules, raising concerns to appropriate owners early and resolving open issues that prevent progress
  • Predicts roadblocks and obstacles and establishes meetings or integration points between teams
  • Prioritizes competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions
  • Coordinates resources across multiple project initiatives and teams
  • Tracks activities on projects and establishes a clear path and owners of next steps
  • Communicates clearly across projects and people
  • Manage workflow across the team and identify the need for additional resources when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant or related working experience in project management
  • 5+ years experience leading and mentoring project management teams
  • 5+ years experience at an agency
  • Experience driving process/programs/initiatives to address various business needs
  • Experience or knowledge in the production of events, campaigns, printed collateral, presentations, websites, videos, and other marketing materials
  • Experience managing budgets and vendors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • Solid experience in fostering seamless cross-functional working relationships in medium to large organizations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and related project/program management applications to drive best practices
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other design packages a plus
  • General knowledge of advertising and/or UX is a plus
