Head of Market Operations, Instagram (APAC)

Instagram is looking for a general manager to lead business strategy and operations for the APAC region. This person will be a senior leader on the Instagram business team and support our Facebook sales leaders and their teams in APAC to achieve Instagram's goals in the region. The ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary background-including operations, strategy, product marketing and analytics. They will also have expertise and experience in the APAC market and be passionate about Instagram. This is a full-time position based in our Singapore office.
This is a senior (Director) level role working across region with our business leadership and global stakeholder in US, LATAM and EMEA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define a holistic vision and strategy for the Instagram business in the region
  • Lead quarterly planning across the Instagram consumer and business teams and establish success metrics
  • Construct and manage the budget for the region
  • Set up efficient cross-functional operations and ensure company business objectives are achieved
  • Be a thought partner with Facebook regional leadership on the Instagram mission, and consumer and business roadmaps
  • Create programs that incorporate Instagram brand, consumer and business initiatives for clients to help them understand Instagram and make them more successful on the platform
  • Build knowledge and relationships with different segments of the Instagram community-people, celebrities and influencers, businesses
  • Represent Instagram with press, partners, clients and at industry events as needed
  • Raise regional feedback, blockers and opportunities to help prioritize investments in our consumer and business products
  • Regularly circulate regional and Instagram business trends along with the team's progress to goals
  • Escalate risks to achieving goals in region with proposal for how to mitigate Share best practices and learnings with other regional leads
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of relevant business strategy and operations or product marketing experience
  • Knowledgeable about different digital business models, especially advertising and its mechanics
  • Expertise and experience in the APAC market, especially Japan, Korea and Australia
  • Well versed in and passionate about Instagram
  • Proficiency in creating frameworks to evaluate problems and present a recommendation for how to proceed
  • Experience setting strategic direction and executing go-to-market plans
  • Ability to lead and work effectively with a large cross-functional team
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • BA/BS degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in a consulting, business strategy or equivalent function for a digital advertising, media, or technology company MBA
