Head of Factory Automation, Core Tech

As Head of Factory Automation, you are responsible for leading a technically diverse automation team, responsible for ensuring we define and deliver on an outstanding factory calibration roadmap as well as delivery of calibration capabilities for all phases of engineering to product concept. You look around corners and prepare your team for future challenges. You challenge the status quo and demand excellence in everything your organization does. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach, build a world-class factory automation organization
  • Recruit world-class talent and provide mentorship to team members
  • Set clear expectations and create north-star aspirational goals
  • Develop a positive work environment based on accountability and impact
  • Focus technical excellence and solve for cost, throughput, safety, quality
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines and geographies
  • Develop Test Automation strategies for Core Technology
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure successful Core Tech Automation handoff to Manufacturing Operations and HW Test Engineering teams
  • Identify and engage with Automation vendors for prototype and production-capable stations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of engineering leadership experience
  • Experience building performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplined (hardware and software) organizations
  • MS in ME, EE, or CS with 10+ years of experience in engineering (or equivalent)
  • 7+ years of experience in consumer products field
  • Communication experience
  • Experience leading through influence
  • Knowledge in factory operation and automation
  • Proven track record of design and automation of factory floor operation
  • Knowledge in C++/Java/Python/Machine code languages
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • PHD in an engineering field
  • Experience automating for consumer products
  • Experience with cameras and optical systems
  • Experience with Android/Linux systems
