Head of Enterprise Vendor Management Program Management Office (PMO)

Facebook is currently searching for a seasoned Vendor Management (VM) leader to work within the Facebook Source-to-Pay organization and serve as the global head of enterprise vendor management. This individual will work closely with numerous business unit vendor management (BU VM) teams in a cross-functional and collaborative capacity.
This is a new function and requires the individual to build a team of progressive thinkers that will help develop the global vendor management strategy and roadmap for Facebook, as well as build a Program Management Office (PMO) that delivers progressive thought leadership, robust processes/technology tools/policies, training, governance, and excellent customer service to the BU VM teams and the company at-large. This role requires someone who thrives in a flat, fast-moving organization using lightweight processes, creative ideas and quick iteration to make a significant impact. This individual will have accountability for creating a central “hub” of VM excellence, shaping strategy, policy, and centrally driving consistent application of VM strategies. They will develop enterprise-wide vendor risk assessment/mitigation principles and solutions, as well as help shape a framework for account management plans for Facebook’s most strategic vendor relationships.


  • Build and lead an enterprise VM Program Management Office (PMO) and craft the global Facebook VM strategy and roadmap to support ongoing vendor risk management, compliance and performance optimization activities across the company
  • Manage and grow a team of people whom will assist with crafting and executing enterprise VM strategies and projects
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to strategically develop, implement and optimize vendor management processes, tools and policies to address vendor risk, compliance, and performance objectives
  • Lead and monitor company-wide supply base segmentation/tiering process and subsequent development and implementation of robust account management plans
  • Provide enterprise level vendor relationship organization and facilitation
  • Engage with BU VM leads and with key stakeholders in Legal, InfoSec, Global Resiliency, Source-to-Pay, and Internal Audit as well as other cross-functional partners and executive sponsors to align on VM requirements, policies, tools/systems, priorities and critical projects
  • Create and implement communications plans, thought leadership and training on processes, tools, and policies
  • Facilitate and optimize vendor performance management tool kits, metrics/KPI identification, measurement tools, scorecards and reporting/feedback mechanisms to ensure vendors are delivering maximum value
  • Report to Facebook leadership (including the Audit and Risk Oversight Committee) regarding risk mitigation plans, risk forecasting, compliance flags, vendor performance issues, especially across key Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationships
  • Engage with Internal Audit, Legal Compliance, InfoSec, TPR, Legal and other key stakeholder functions to align on VM strategies and ongoing projects designed to impact the risk levels of critical vendors based on numerous risk triggers (privacy, financial, regulatory, legal, geo-political, performance/delivery, reputational, technical, data security, etc.)
  • Build out the governance model for top tier vendors in partnership with key constituents
  • Lead projects around driving global discounts and consistent policy and guidelines for vendors operating multiple engagements within the company
  • Lead special projects as needed
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance or management or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Strategic Supplier Relationship Management and Third-Party Risk Management
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Procurement systems/processes/tools experience
  • Experience balancing multiple initiatives at once
  • Process/project management experience
  • Analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing a team environment
  • Experience driving change and improving end-to-end processes
  • Experience in evaluating, developing and implementing VM technology solutions
  • MBA or graduate degree
  • 3+ years of experience in project/asset management, procurement and vendor relations in a technology environment
  • Highly motivated and able to think clearly under pressure
  • Ability to think strategically and operationally/tactically
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to flourish and influence others in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
