Global Sustainability Lead

Facebook is seeking an experienced sustainability professional to develop and lead the sustainability program across all of our facilities around the world. This position is full-time and will be located in our Menlo Park office.


  • Develop and guide strategic vision of the FCS (Facilities, Culinary & Security) Sustainability team
  • Own the FCS Sustainability roadmap and adjust goals as needed to ensure support across the global portfolio
  • Ensure that the Sustainability program supports our business, policy and social needs
  • Create and drive systems and processes which will provide reporting on key sustainability metrics, renewable energy plans, employee engagement and additional opportunities
  • Manage mechanisms to track and report on efficiency and sustainability initiatives
  • Identify and manage cost-effective and impactful opportunities to participate in the clean energy industry
  • Support the global team's sustainability efforts across the organization
  • Partner closely with the Infrastructure Sustainability team to drive alignment
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of work experience implementing programs in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or University
  • Strategic experience with a proven track record of translating ideas into action
  • Experience driving fact-based recommendations to management, functional, or geographic management
  • Experience with program management, organizing and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and directing them to completion
  • Experience working in an independent or team-based environment
  • Knowledge of site planning and organizational strategy, experience with resilience planning and sustainable development
  • Experience with EPA Energy Star for buildings, and LEED Green Building certification programs
