Global Standards Manager

The candidate will be responsible for managing global workplace standards and specialty projects. The candidate will have construction administration experience in prototype projects and be able to translate these projects into standards.The successful candidate will have a leadership role on Facebook’s in-house Workplace Design Studio and real estate team reporting to the Global Workplace Design Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and update Facebook Global Facilities standards quarterly
  • Manage signage program globally
  • Act as primary contact for all standards related matters
  • Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional team leads. Coordinate with teams to refine and ensure consistency across standards
  • Provide on-boarding training to architects
  • Provide quarterly standards update and training to internal teams globally
  • Partner with various internal customers/end users and translate their space requirements into standards strategically
  • Oversee specialty projects from beginning to completion
  • Work closely with facility design team, project architect, project furniture vendor(s) and other internal technical teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget regarding design
  • Excellent customer service skills including strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Review construction drawings and design packets for adherence to FB design standards as well as project look & feel.
  • Provide reporting, dashboards and metrics
  • Manages budget, schedule and process on all projects
  • Work strategically with senior management to ensure that the overall direction of the company is followed and implemented

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in architecture/ interior design/ project management
  • 15+ years of project management experience in design and construction
  • Knowledge of corporate interiors
  • Individual who can switch tasks quickly
  • Background with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD
  • Work independently and as part of a team in situations that are fast-paced with deadlines and changing priorities, in a detailed manner
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, execute under deadlines
  • Maintain internal and external relationships
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Knowledge of a working construction site and how to integrate deliverables into the overall project timeline
  • Experience with facilities management, hospitality services, physical security, operations, and IT
  • Ability to learn on the job to absorb working knowledge of every facet of the FCS (Facilities Culinary Security) team’s services, to understand and interpret each team’s technical needs
  • Planning skills, including attention to detail, information organization, timeline tracking, and comprehensive communication across many teams and at all organizational levels
  • Communication skills, including active listening and the ability to drive results through informal authority, serve as a trusted consultant to internal customers, and represent users and customers in every thought and interaction
  • Ability to identify and anticipate organizational needs, establish priorities, and then plan, execute and deliver on varying simultaneous projects in a timely manner while working in cross-functional teams with little supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work with all levels of the employees and external vendors
  • Experience managing construction and Moves/Adds/Changes projects, overseeing and directing the work of others in multiple locations
