Global Sourcing Business Analytics and Reporting Lead

Facebook is searching for a Global Sourcing Business Analytics and Reporting Lead to support global sourcing and contracting programs and initiatives at Facebook. This individual will work collaboratively with key stakeholders in IT, Finance, Internal Audit, P2P and other Sourcing teams across Facebook to develop and implement spend/supplier analytics tools, reporting, metrics, and insights that support strategic planning and sourcing opportunities. This individual will bring knowledge of spend analytics tools, data management, supply market analysis, machine learning, and excellent customer service to support the needs of the Global Sourcing Team at large. This role requires someone who thrives in a flat, fast-moving organization using complex data analysis and reporting expertise to make a significant impact.


  • Collaborate with key stakeholder teams, including Finance, BizApps, Vendor Management, Legal, Internal Audit, P2P, and sister sourcing teams to collect, cleanse, map, normalize, classify, and enrich global spend and supplier data ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness
  • Understand the current spend analytics processes and tools and lead efforts to improve the functionality and comprehensiveness of the master data and underlying reporting capabilities
  • Provide leadership, management and facilitation to scope, document requirements, evaluate, test, implement and optimize business analytics tools and processes
  • Prepare complex data analyses and generate robust custom reports to inform strategic sourcing opportunities, support sourcing category planning, identify cost savings ideas through spend insights, highlight supplier/policy non-compliance, identify emerging key supplier/supply risks, prepare for supplier business reviews/corrective action planning, support headcount/budget planning, and bolster internal customer business reviews
  • Implement and leverage machine learning to generate business insights to support the Global Sourcing team's business strategy and objectives and maximize value delivery to our internal business clients
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reports regarding Global Sourcing Team goals such as CSAT, % of influenced spend, spend under contract, key supplier rate cards, compliance with preferred supplier programs, cost savings/avoidance, supplier diversity, etc.
  • Design, curate and manage an analytics and reporting dashboard delivering real-time metrics and performance insights to Global Sourcing leadership
  • Regularly audit spend database and source data systems to continually improve the quality and relevance of the information/insights generated for the indirect sourcing and contracts teams
  • Manage the ongoing governance strategy and processes regarding the Facebook Sourcing Category Taxonomy
  • Update the taxonomy as needed in cooperation with peer spend analytics leads
  • Generate CSAT surveys, summarize feedback/insights, and present findings to leadership teams
  • Provide analytics and proactive actions plans resulting from semi-annual employee Pulse surveys
  • Provide training and user guide documentation to spend analytics users and consumers to enable a primarily self-serve reporting and analytics model
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in business, financial systems, data analytics, procurement, or finance
  • 5+ years of experience in the areas of sourcing/procurement, reporting, financial analysis, report design/delivery, data science, and/or statistics
  • Experience in evaluating, developing and implementing operational improvements through technology, machine learning, automation and process redesign to enable standardization, compliance, scalability and velocity (e.g., eSourcing, spend analytics, supplier performance management, risk assessment)
  • Experience balancing multiple initiatives at once
  • Experience with process and project management
  • Experience with procurement systems/processes/tools
  • Ability to flourish and influence others in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
