Global Mobility Operations Lead, EMEA

Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility Operations Lead – EMEA to lead the Global Mobility efforts in the region around relocation, immigration and tax. The person in this role on the People Operations team will make an impact in managing the global mobility operations work driving process and systems improvements partnering closely with the core mobility team of Facebook and act as a key strategic partner to the core Global Mobility team. The person in this hands-on role will have a global mobility background and will partner closely with HRBP’s, recruiting, Global Mobility, Comp, Legal, and Payroll to ensure a seamless mobility experience to our employees.


  • Work with our mobility partners across the region to ensure a smooth mobility experience for our employees
  • Manage service providers on execution of day-to-day Global Mobility operations including validation of service provider’s processes
  • Assist in answering tax, compliance, and relocation related queries raised by employees, recruiters, and other key stakeholders, partnering with internal Global Mobility managers and service providers where needed
  • Provide assistance with international assignment nuances along with providers and serve as the primary contact for employees on questions and detailed assignment requests
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with key internal stakeholders in Global Mobility on program and operations effectiveness
  • Ensure comprehensive immigration advice is provided timely and accurately to partner with key internal stakeholders (e.g. recruiting)
  • Work with vendor and global immigration team to keep up to date on changing immigration regulations
  • Manage scorecard system for relocation vendors and provide analysis on performance
  • Coordinate and execute on day-to-day operational activities of mobility, tax and relocation
  • Build knowledge base content around Global Mobility and work with offshore team on knowledge ramp-up to continually improve and develop Tier 1 response
  • Address employee related inquiries around Global Mobility processes, policy, and issues
  • Partner with internal teams for process and systems improvements to the internal transfer process
  • Perform audits to endure reconciliation processes are done in accordance with local/country laws
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Drive process and system improvements with global mobility programs
  • Lead cross-functional efforts with internal stakeholders to improve system functionality, integrations, and data integrity
  • Proactively identify and communicate business issues
  • Lead communications on process and system changes around global mobility operations
  • Manage content updates to program on internal portal

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in Global Mobility, immigration and relocation within EMEA
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Strong vendor management skills with a focus on accountability and building relationships
  • Robust analytic skills, including data analysis and interpretation skills with the ability to effectively use data to drive recommendations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, prioritisation, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated experience in both international and U.S. domestic mobility policy and processes
  • Ability to identify data integrity issues and the impact to the other areas (i.e. payroll, benefits, etc)
  • Person has the ability to think through E2E solutions to improve the processes
  • Project management and process improvement background
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and lead multiple projects simultaneously involving various groups / locations / vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel data analysis / manipulation, including pivot tables, V-lookups, and chart creation
  • Prior experience in employee relations or customer service working directly with front line managers, leaders, and employees or HR preferred
  • Experience in developing innovative methods to automate manual processes
  • Member of the Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and Global Mobility Certification is a bonus
