Global Infrastructure Manager, Data Center Controls and Monitoring

Facebook is seeking a Global Infrastructure Manager to lead establishment and support of the IT infrastructure that enables Facility Operation's controls and monitoring systems. In this role you will work collaboratively with Facebook data center facility, infrastructure technology, and data center design teams to develop, support, and manage processes and technical solutions to ensure a high degree of resilience and reliability. This position is based in Menlo Park with some domestic and international travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of technical resources directly responsible for off-the-shelf controls and internally developed applications
  • Collaboratively develop and establish infrastructure standards, and assess effectiveness of these solutions to meet the Data Center Facility organization's operational needs through use of key performance indicators
  • Establish and assess effectiveness of infrastructure support, identify opportunities for process improvements, and lead these initiatives collaboratively across the Facebook Infrastructure organization
  • As needed, directly manage cross-functional global programs, utilizing program management best practices
  • Foster a culture of data driven decision making
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly adapt and learn new skill sets

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years direct management of resources and proven ability to lead a team
  • 5+ years of work experience in project management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space
  • Ability to collaborate with different individuals across external organizations, within other geographies, and be involved with hands-on executional work
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Coordination skills along with multi-tasking abilities to get things done
  • Communication skills with attention to detail
  • Cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to take action and develop solutions to problems
  • Interpersonal skills including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Networking or data center experience with Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification
  • Systems development and deployment experience
