Global Industry Marketing Manager, Ads Research & Measurement Lead

Facebook’s Global Industry Marketing team is actively seeking a full-time and experienced marketing professional who will drive key industry marketing initiatives on a global scale—particularly those that relate to an all-important topic: advertising measurement. The New York or Menlo Park -based Measurement Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and driving a strategic industry marketing plan related to Facebook’s ads research and measurement practice and educating the industry. He/she will also be tasked with identifying and (and securing) corresponding speaking opportunities, both internally and externally. The Industry Marketing Manager role will also require an extensive amount of relationship-building—from forging strategic partnerships with industry associations to gaining the trust of cross-functional partners and key stakeholders worldwide. The individual who ultimately steps into this role must possess exceptional organizational and communications skills—and a marketing mindset that is as strategic as it is creative. The Industry Marketing Manager must be someone one who is a self starter and thrives in an extremely fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. He/she should possess a strong work ethic, as well as a genuine passion for marketing, measurement and, above all else, the Facebook mission.


  • Proactive & Prioritized Industry Marketing Plan:
  • Develop an industry marketing plan that outlines ways to engage with key industry associations and secure relevant speaking opportunities
  • Operationalize & scale this plan via processes, best practices and cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage external vendor for speaker placement, pitching and logistics
  • Exercise excellent judgement when it comes to identifying and negotiating sponsorship deals that will help tell Facebook’s measurement story
  • Identify, pitch and manage key activations at industry events
  • Reactive Industry Plan:
  • Develop a reactive (and scalable) plan to effectively manage lower tier opportunities
  • Speaker Program:
  • Manage the global speakership and industry relations program for our measurement practice
  • Creating a robust speaker program by identifying relevant industry opportunities
  • Create an internal speaker program that will not only elevate the profiles of Facebook’s current measurement thought leaders, but will also prepare Facebook’s next generation of measurement speakers
  • Build strong both internally and externally to ensure the Global Industry Marketing team is always aware of (or ahead of) the current state of the industry
  • Manage the Global Industry Marketing team’s speaker database
  • Partner closely with the broader Global Business Marketing team to infuse measurement into all speaking opportunities
  • Be the industry expert in measurement-related opportunities and identify tangential opportunities that will broaden the impact of measurement messages
  • Develop and maintain a database of competitive intelligence around measurement presence at major events and tentpoles
  • Proactively foster, develop and drive thought leadership in support of Global Marketing Solutions goals (note: The Global Business Marketing and Global Industry Marketing teams sit within Facebook’s Global Marketing Solutions division)
  • Closely collaborate with event marketing peers on internal and industry events to ensure there is great cohesion or integration at all times
  • Industry Partnerships
  • Forge partnerships with key industry organizations for long-term benefit to both the partner, Facebook and the broader industry
  • Develop a co-marketing plan with these organizations that includes activation, speaking and content
  • Partner closely with XFN teams to realize the full potential of these partnerships

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 + years of industry marketing experience that demonstrates knowledge of relevant partners and in the measurement space
  • Understanding of advertising research and measurement as it relates to marketing—and of key client challenges
  • History of relationship-building, particularly with industry leaders, industry association leaders, etc.
  • Experience in developing and producing industry marketing programs (identifying and securing speaking engagements, developing and driving strategic positioning and messaging, etc.)
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Skilled when it comes to working cross-functionally and building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience in managing an editorial calendar and pitching ideas and stories
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously
