Financial Analyst, Partnerships

The FP&A team manages Facebook’s financial planning for operating expenses and headcount. We focus on using our unique view into the numbers to see trends and opportunities that are developing within Facebook and within related industries. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, have exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast. In this role, you will drive our FP&A related finance efforts for Partnerships, which leads the company’s efforts in publisher engagement and video content acquisition. You will gain invaluable experience in a position that offers significant responsibility and interaction with business partners as well as considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a growing Finance organization. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. The position is full-time and located in Menlo Park, CA.


  • Track and monitor budgets and headcount
  • Provide financial review and approvals of purchase requisitions, headcount requisitions, contractor requests, internal transfers, and other transactional needs
  • Assist in financial planning processes related to headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Close the month and quarter in accordance with the accounting processes in place, as well as provide monthly and quarterly financial reporting to key business executives
  • Assist in the consolidation of finance deliverables for Partnerships
  • Partner closely with other Partnership finance leads
  • Help define and implement scalable financial processes related to budget tracking and other processes as needed
  • Help business partners gain key insights into spend with meaningful analyses
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other FP&A groups, as well as operations including purchasing, accounting, corporate finance
  • B.S. in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • 4+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
  • Strong organization skills, time management skills, detail-orientation, and ability to multi-task
  • Experience in business partnership with a bias towards strategic thinking and conceptual understanding
  • Ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Experience using SQL
  • Software experience with Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Financials
