EMS Strategy Manager

Facebook is currently seeking an EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Strategy Manager that will be responsible for developing the global manufacturing strategy for our innovative AR/VR products. In this role, you will use your knowledge in EMS industry, collaboration with cross-functional team and understanding in the future technologies to develop a comprehensive strategy to identify and engage the right partners in the right geography. You will be responsible to provide strategic recommendations to leadership through data-driven analysis over multiple key metrics on both technical, operational and commercial aspects. You will work closely with Hardware engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal and other cross-functional teams to create an efficient and innovative supply chain.

EMS STRATEGY MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Facebook's global manufacturing partnership strategy to enable new products and new technologies for AR/VR.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, operations, logistics, planning, finance and legal to identify the right partners for the future product. Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Build meaningful relationships with existing partners and potential partners to understand their strengths and influence their strategy as needed.
  • Investigate the industry trends to understand the opportunity and risk for our current product and partnership strategy, including new technology, new geography, and new partnership.
  • Develop deep understanding in the EMS industry, considering the global business climate and competitive landscape.
  • Develop relationships with the key stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our partner's capability to grow our business.
  • Develop the performance metrics to measure and compare our partner's performance in multiple aspects.
  • Collaborate with CM manager to execute our long term CM strategy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS degree
  • 7+ years work experience in sourcing or related disciplines specific to CM/JDM/ODM and FATP business
  • Experience in supply chain strategy, supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, and supply base management
  • Experience in building innovative, best-in-class consumer electronic products
  • Leadership, program management, and cross-functional teamwork experience
  • Problem solving, analytical and communication experience
  • Experience communicating with and influencing all levels of management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master degree in a related engineering disciplines or MBA
  • 10+ years of experience sourcing experience with 7+ years experience managing suppliers with factories both in China and other countries
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple work threads to maximize impact
