We are looking for a passionate, smart, experienced and intuitive Event Manager to support our B2B marketing efforts across EMEA, based out of the London office. We are looking for someone who can deliver world class Marketing events, from helping to drive strategy, to the planning and execution of events – ranging from small meetings, Facebook hosted B2B events, and large tech expos. You must be a team player, creative, with a keen eye for detail and be able to get up to speed quickly and develop a great sense of Facebook brand and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Produce flawless events across Europe, Middle East and Africa in close cooperation with our external agencies
  • Work across multiple European countries, with a strong operational focus and a hands-on attitude in a high pace organization and environment
  • As part of the EMEA marketing team the candidate has to be savvy in an international organization and need to show excellent skills in stakeholder management
  • Manage and maintain relationships with the main business marketing stakeholders in EMEA (based in London, Hamburg, Milan, Paris, Israel, Dubai and Dublin)
  • Work closely with global and cross-functional counterparts to ensure cohesion and scalability for events messaging, campaigns and product launches
  • Development, production and delivery of events following briefs from internal stakeholders
  • Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet stakeholder expectations
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  • Using initiative to problem solve and find satisfactory solutions
  • Communicating, maintaining and developing internal client relationships
  • Managing supplier relationships across EMEA
  • Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently
  • Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to the team
  • Travelling regularly for site inspections and events
  • Being responsible for project budgets from start to finish
  • Ensuring excellent client and partner experience in the form of flawless events. Organisation is obviously key but in equal importance is communication. You’ll need to have a good cultural fit in the Facebook employee community and be confident with communicating with all stakeholders that you will work closely to.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University BA/BS degree or equivalent desirable
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working in an event management role
  • User and fan of the Facebook platform
  • Operationally focused and keen to work hard
  • Ability to work in a fast paced company
  • Personable and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong project management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and multi-task
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • French, Italian, German and Spanish language skills desirable
  • Experience with working with budgets of all sizes
  • Experience delivering events overseas
  • Reliable and a flexible approach to work
  • Excellent at meeting deadlines and expectations
  • Ability to use initiative, think outside the box and problem solve
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritise and cope with multiple conflicting deadlines and events
  • Good knowledge of the European online and digital marketing and advertising industry
