Ecosystem Partnership Manager, Music and Video

The Portal team will apply DARPA-style breakthrough development at the intersection of ambitious science and product development. It will operate on aggressive, fixed timelines, with extensive use of partnerships in universities, small, and large businesses. We are seeking an Ecosystem Partnership Manager who is passionate and knowledgeable about leading edge music and video technologies and demonstrably capable of driving content acquisition and partnerships strategy for innovative hardware. This position requires a blend of technical and business skills, with a focus on creative, strategic thinking with cross-functional knowledge and experience to effectively work across our Product, Engineering, Business Development, Partnerships, Marketing and Legal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and drive music and video ecosystem content strategy with the objective of identifying and deploying experiences that maximize engagement and deliver differentiated social user experiences
  • In collaboration with Product and Developer Marketing orgs, establish the music and video partner value proposition and analyze data to prioritize content selection optimized for the platform's target audience and device strategy
  • Identify areas of demand for regional music and video content and work closely with Product and Business Development to prioritize the acquisition and onboarding of new music and video partners
  • Provide input on SDK, tools and infrastructure requirements to Product and Engineering teams and act as the voice of the partner in justifying and prioritizing them
  • Maintain direct and active on-going relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and policy issues and serving as their internal advocate
  • Represent Facebook in external meetings with executives, both internally and externally at content partner companies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of entertainment industry experience with a demonstrated record of initiating and managing partner relationships and campaigns
  • 10+ years of experience working in digital content/media ecosystems
  • Knowledge of the application development process, UX design principles, and how product requirements are established and prioritized
  • Track record of innovation with consumer hardware
  • Experience defining, developing and leading programs
  • Organizational, communication and analytical experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA
  • Familiarity with Facebook platforms, priorities, organizational culture
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills - capable of developing effective working relationships with all functional groups and all levels of management, both inside and outside Facebook
