Director, Global Client & Category - Auto

The Global Client & Category Team is looking for an experienced Autos expert to lead our Autos Category Team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and driving our global Sales Strategy within the Autos category. You'll partner heavily with Local Sales Leaders, Product Marketers, Product Experts, Solutions Engineers, Creative teams and Marketing Science professionals to identify scalable solutions for the category, activated locally in key countries. You'll also be leading a high-performing multi-national dispersed team responsible for helping grow some of the largest global Autos businesses, utilizing the power of the Facebook family of apps and services. We are looking for a leader who can bring cross-functional teams and local and global leaders together to operate in partnership to drive impact. This person should have a strong understanding and interest in how global wins are fueled by local activation and success. They will have experience dealing with nuance and managing and leading teams without hard-line leadership 'control.' The ideal candidate will have management experience in a sales environment as well as extensive experience in online marketing solutions, measurement and creativity. The person will be a natural team builder and leader, highly collaborative, globally minded, and curious. They will be able to powerfully articulate a vision and create and build the trust of local teams, sophisticated clients and their agency partners.


  • Partner with global cross-functional teams to co-create and deploy the Autos Category growth strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with In-Market Sales teams, Business Operations, Measurement, Solutions Engineering and Product Marketing to optimize our efforts in this category, drive planning and prioritization
  • Drive individual client growth for largest global autos clients, identify winning strategies and scale the insights across the GCC and Global Business Group (GBG) teams
  • Lead a team of Global Client Leads and Global Solutions Partners responsible for partnering with our largest global clients
  • Enable a high performing team to be strategic business consultants to help our largest clients grow their business
  • Earn a place as a trusted advisor to our most clients and FB stakeholders by partnering with them to understand their business objectives and help define where and how FB can play a role in achieving them
  • Guide the creation of persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Facebook to clients for both B2C and B2B marketing
  • Actively participate on the Global Clients and Categories leadership team, embrace and contribute to the unique FB company culture, mission, and strategy
  • Represent Facebook at key client events and in engagements
  • Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
  • 15+ years marketing and sales experience in the Autos Category
  • 7+ years management experience
  • 7+ years experience in digital media
  • Demonstrated experience using advertising data to craft media strategy
  • Experience managing high performing geographically dispersed global teams
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising technology, brand and data/performance trends
  • Respected expert in the Autos industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of the agency ecosystem and the essentials of media planning and buying
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with C-level executives with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into client value
  • Ability to forge relationships with marketing decision makers at clients and agencies
  • A proven track-record of developing high performing leaders and growing their careers and capabilities
  • Highly collaborative individual with experience influencing and partnering with multiple cross-functional internal teams with varying priorities
  • Experience crafting, executing and refining winning strategies to help businesses grow
