Director, Compensation

Facebook has created a new role, Director Compensation to join the Total Rewards team, reporting to the VP of Global Total Rewards. This role will lead through other leaders who manage a team of compensation partners and analysts. The teams partner with business leaders to drive strategic compensation decisions and deliver innovative, competitive and analytically driven compensation programs across all of Facebook, including Technology, Global Marketing Solutions and Corporate functions (HR, legal, etc.).

DIRECTOR, COMPENSATION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly manage a team of 3+ leaders who lead business aligned compensation partners and analysts, with an important focus on career development and growth
  • Provide thought leadership with the businesses and across the total rewards organizations on all compensation topics
  • Drive the teams to focus on consistency and a customer focused approach to program consultation and delivery
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with the business and HR leaders of each function in order to demonstrate influence and impact on compensation outcomes
  • Ability to drive decisions with Facebook's leaders on complex compensation items, including the head of HR for Facebook
  • Innovate and react quickly to changing business and market realities and demonstrate openness and flexibility to client needs and requests
  • Partner closely with recruiting leaders to help Facebook hire the very best in a challenging market
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS in HR, Economics, Business Administration or similar field, or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in compensation consulting role
  • Experience with leading through others and managing senior level leaders
  • Experience working with HRBPs, clients and across HR disciplines
  • Demonstrated team leadership, partnership, influencing and communication experience
  • Experience in multiple of the following compensation disciplines: salary and incentive plan design and administration, sales compensation, international compensation, equity compensation, executive pay
  • Working knowledge of employment law and practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced degree (M.A., etc.)
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • Experience as a compensation leader for all company functions simultaneously
