Director and Associate General Counsel, Product (Global Sales and Marketing)

Facebook seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as Director and Associate General Counsel supporting Facebook's global sales and marketing teams. The position will oversee support for the marketing and sales teams with a focus on providing strategic and tactical legal guidance to internal sales and business teams as well as directly to business clients on a range of legal issues related to Facebook products, including privacy.   • Ensure sales and sales support teams are aware of key legal developments that might impact products or clients
  • Help scale effective proactive and reactive communication to these stakeholders across a wide range of issues
  • Serve as legal representative for clients, coordinating information across legal stakeholders, including product, commercial, regulatory, IP, and litigation attorneys as needed
  • Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice on sales and marketing related tools
  • Coordinate with policy and communications colleagues on escalations, external communication, and policy development
  • Manage lawyers focused on providing regional sales and global marketing support
  • J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 12+ years of legal experience, from a law firm or in-house experience (including applicable litigation, regulatory or product counseling experience)
  • Experience in the legal frameworks that apply to online advertising, marketing, mobile, social networking, or other Internet technologies
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams to get the job done
  • Managerial experience
  • Knowledge of international legal frameworks that apply to data-driven advertising
  • Knowledge of international legal frameworks that apply to B2B marketing
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
