The Developer Support Engineering (DSE) team ensures global support coverage to our developer community. Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds, from entrepreneurs to full stack web developers to iOS/Android developers. Although our backgrounds are different, we all have one thing in common, a desire to help developers all around the world through the development of innovative new tools which help make engaging with external developers a more connected and smoother experience.We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong technical background to join our team in Singapore. As an experienced member of the team, you will provide technical leadership and mentor other engineers. You will drive technical design discussions, and lead cross-functional initiatives in building innovative new tools and support experiences that enable Facebook to scale developer support globally.You will also be the point of contact for the day-to-day issue management for developers, focused on helping them build engaging and social applications using Facebook Platform. You'll assist our developers in enabling their success by providing creative solutions to challenging technical issues. Responsibilities

  • Engage with the operations and engineering teams to build, drive and improve our tools and processes
  • Write production code that will improve our internal tooling and our external support channels
  • Provide technical leadership in cross-functional initiatives
  • ensuring progress via consensus building and resolving conflicts in a way that strengthen relationships
  • Mentor and coach other team members
  • Become an expert in our products, our developers and their needs by providing effective technical consultation
  • Be the point of contact for Platform developers and manage technical product issues and escalations, delivering the highest level of developer satisfaction
  • Build product insights from developer experience/sentiments and work with cross-functional partners to take appropriate action
  • Deliver data-driven, impactful results and help scale developer support with Sales and Partnership growth
  • Build understanding about the wide variety of software across the Platform at a deep engineering level

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • technically hands-on with 3+ years leading technical projects, mentoring and coaching other engineers
  • Expertise in one or more of the following languages: Java, PHP, JavaScript, or Objective-C
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in leading and driving technical projects end-to-end from ideation, design, planning and execution
  • Experience in building large-scale Internet services would be an advantage
