Deployment Project Manager

The Deployment Project Manager (DPM) is responsible for driving the full technology lifecycle of a project for new office builds. The DPM partners with facilities and Enterprise Operations (EOps) teams to manage the deployment of innovative spaces that help drive collaboration and communication company wide. Deployments include a variety of technology, audio visual and video conferencing systems, printers, digital wayfinding, production events spaces, specialty demo spaces and more. The project management component includes project leadership, planning, execution, control, data integrity, financial responsibility, and project closeout.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage 8-10projects simultaneously as the main point of contact representing Enterprise Engineering New Builds
  • Apply technology standards as appropriate throughout the design phase and ensure consistent application throughout the lifecycle of a project across several verticals
  • Work collaboratively across multiple organizations representing the New Builds team
  • Collaborate closely with a project coordinator to maintain a clearly documented project that can be followed internally throughout the lifecycle of a project
  • Maintain alignment with the Portfolio Managers
  • Project Management:
  • Regularly measure, monitor and report on project progress
  • Manage the design drawings, timelines, scope and standards throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Attend technical build meetings and drive technology needs in the space
  • Manage all aspects of financial tracking including budget, purchase orders, invoices and variances
  • Accountable for providing the project sponsor and stakeholders with a routine status of the projects and actively communicating and mitigating technical risks and issues
  • Coordinate with facilities teams, Enterprise Engineering New Builds/Operations and Remote Site Engineering (network team) on overall project timelines, dependencies, and risks/issues
  • Travel expected to be 30-40%
  • Technical Design and Deployment:
  • Apply Facebook standards in determining the design, bill of materials and drawings for new offices
  • Use drafting software to markup architectural drawings with electrical and data symbols
  • Consult with Design Engineering/SMEs for non-standard spaces
  • Engage with third party vendors for hardware procurement, scheduling and integration
  • Manage onsite integration for all new builds
  • Remove roadblocks for technicians on-site during deployment
  • Perform testing and commissioning handovers from Facebook commissioning technician and third-party vendors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSin a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMP Certification is a plus skills: 3+years of experience in project management required, with preferred experience in office builds
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, on average 8 to 10
  • Budget and Cost management experience
  • Full understanding of project life cycles and project phases
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams in a time sensitive capacity
  • Self-motivated & highly adaptable
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1year of experience with CAD, Vectorworks or other drafting software equivalent
  • â- Experience with architectural/MEP driven design process, drawings and schematics
  • â- Experience with construction builds and project management
  • â- DataCenterbuild/constructionexperience
