Country Manager Argentina

Facebook is looking for the highest caliber executive leader to manage Facebook’s business operations through Argentina office. The leader will spearhead the company’s strategic relationships with global brands, agencies, and partners for Facebook’s advertising platform. You should be comfortable with change and passionate about general management and consultative selling. In this fast-paced environment, you will wear many hats, providing guidance and direction in multiple functional areas; managing a cross-functional, matrix-structured team including sales, marketing, operations and G&A of the country. The role will be based at our Buenos Aires office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategy to ensure growth and achievement of revenue objectives
  • Build a strong presence in Argentina by raising public profile and delivering key note speeches at industry conferences and events
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively managing the pipeline of opportunities and weekly sales forecasts
  • Drive the highest levels of client service and improve relationships and process
  • Build and maintain senior level clients by identifying incremental and business transformation opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal, cross market/regional teams to ensure product
  • improvement, transfer knowledge, improving process/client relationship
  • Actively participate in the leadership team and global teams where appropriate, embracing the company mission
  • Develop, retain and motivate existing team while recruiting for new members and continually raising the bar for talent and capabilities
  • Drive overall operational efficiency across sales, marketing and business operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business related subject. MBA is preferred
  • 15+ years relevant experience, strong knowledge of Argentina market, carrying a revenue or P&L responsibility in a high growth environment
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in marketing, media or technology and proven experience in managing regional sales
  • Personal network with C level executive contacts across the country’s largest brands and businesses
  • Proven ability in leading high performance teams and delivering successful business results
  • Proven and consistent track record of executing against aggressive growth strategies and delivering against targets in excess of company expectations
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve their best with a team approach
  • Experience delivering success in a global, matrix organization
  • High caliber sales professional with experience of working across multiple geographies
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving/decision making, and communications skills including a perfect command of Spanish and English languages
  • Experience working with and knowledge of advertising agencies and groups is a plus
  • Deep understanding of television, Internet and other media advertising is a plus
  • A high work ethic combined with a vision that will help achieve Facebook’s global mission
