As a Content Strategist at Oculus, your mission is to create a compelling and elegant content system to share the company's vision with the world. Working alongside the Design team, you'll craft smart, relevant, and contextually curated content for a great user experience within the emerging field of virtual reality. You'll comfortably move from the big picture to the smallest detail across various platforms; equipped with top-tier marketing and analytic skills, as well as possessing a deep knowledge of the latest technology products and gaming culture. The ideal candidate will confidently define, create, optimize, and publish compelling content, maintaining superb attention to detail throughout its lifecycle, collaboratively employing a creative, research-driven process to shape content structure, visuals, and tone.

Responsibilities

  • Become a key contributor in the overall product content strategy
  • Develop and communicate use cases and other content specifications
  • Collaborate with Product Designers to create world class product experience
  • Assess and recommend necessary methods and strategies to improve the existing content, and provides an innovative vision for future products
  • Collect data and use analytics to prioritize new/updated content deliveries
  • Review existing content, and propose improvements based on product roadmap
  • Be a self-starter and assess timelines and deliverables
  • Collaborate with creative and product teams to create concepts that can be extended into company and product content strategies
  • Assure the highest quality of content, measured in terms of usability, intuitiveness, comprehensiveness, persuasion, consistency, delightfulness, business needs, and branding
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS or higher in English, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, HCI, or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of creating/writing content for the web and other digital media advertising and marketing
  • 3+ years of experience working in an editorial capacity with clients, subject matter experts, designers, and researchers
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to enforce high quality editorial standards
  • Research and analysis skills
  • Portfolio of original work, along with proven experience creating contents for technology and ability to make technology accessible and understandable
  • Able to manage time and workload in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in writing for international audience/localization
  • Experience in writing for gaming/entertainment/software products
