Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Privacy & Policy

Facebook is looking for a Product Marketing Manager focused on privacy and policy to help shape our consumer marketing to build our narrative around privacy and policy issues. The successful candidate must be experienced with public policy, policy or crisis comms, and/or consumer marketing. This is a full time position that will be based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the people who use Facebook products and address concerns around data privacy
  • While this is a consumer marketing role, you will also need to understand the multiple players in the ecosystem across consumers, policy makers, governments and advocates to ensure the consumer work is contextually relevant
  • Own the full spectrum of the marketing from inbound work, product launch support to proactive marketing campaign work
  • Lead analysis and diagnosis around key opportunity areas across markets and consumer segments
  • Plan and lead successful product launches that are global
  • Plan and lead successful marketing campaigns, educating people in key markets on Facebook’s POV on privacy and the products and tools we have in place to keep consumer safe and secure
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights on people using Facebook to influence product strategy and inform go-to-market plan
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including PR, product, and policy stakeholders) to deliver to create integrated marketing moments and a cohesive consumer narrative
  • Lead and collaborate with external creative agencies to ensure quality, on-time delivery of marketing programs and assets across multiple channels
  • Tackle complex and ambiguous problems with a strategic mindset, create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree at minimum
  • 5+ years of experience in product or brand marketing, public affairs or public policy, or policy or crisis comms for internet and/or consumer technology
  • Marketing experience working across privacy sensitive/trust issues and products and/or experience working on security and safety
  • Experience in brand work and campaign development
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
  • Understanding of web and mobile technologies and the industry landscape
  • Thrives in and enjoys a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment

  • Start-up experience
  • MBA or MA (public policy)
